Brittany at Lead The Way K9 Training did the absolute impossible for our two Golden Doodles Maxwell (9) and Zoe (2). Not only did Brittany train our dogs so much better than we could have ever imagined, she took plenty of time to train us, so we were able to keep up with what she had done. I would recommend Brittany to anyone looking to train their dogs whether a puppy, or an older more stubborn dog like our Maxwell.

Our services include puppy training, training of older dogs, and structured boarding that provides pet parents peace of mind when traveling or while at work. Lead the Way K9 Training is committed to helping dog owners create better relationships with their pets. Brittany has traveled across the US to receive training from elite dog trainers in the country.
Brittany truly wants to make a difference in the lives of dogs and their owners. Located in Delaware and servicing the greater Columbus area, Brittany and her husband established the facility on their property, which is just over an acre in size. The dogs have room to run and play with each other.
We also have a climate controlled indoor area so that the dogs can rest in comfort. When you entrust your dog to us, you can rest easy knowing that your pet will not be in a crate all day long. We treat dogs like family.
Puppy training is ideal for dogs from 16 weeks to six months of age. The puppy will be introduced to a structured routine that includes supervised play, appropriate socialization with other dogs, sit and place commands, coming when called, waiting at thresholds, and good manners like waiting for food. Minor issues like counter surfing and leash chewing will be addressed as well. The training includes a two-hour go-home session to help you transition and continue the training at home.
With Lead the Way K9 Training program's 10-day model, your dog will receive the constant reinforcement necessary to succeed—and we don't stop there. In addition to a 30-minute consultation upon drop off, we provide a two-hour go-home consultation to help you transition your dog's new skill set to the home. Each dog receives a Herm Sprenger prong/training collar. At the end of the training, you'll have an obedient, responsive dog that will provide you and your family with a lifetime of companionship. Also, all graduated dogs have access to our structured daycare and boarding services to continue their training when available. This training program is on-leash only! Call for your consultation today.
If your dog is older than six months, and you need help with non-aggressive behaviors like counter surfing, jumping, pulling on leash, mouthing, excessive barking, and not listening to commands, this is the ideal solution. This training program includes lifetime e-mail and phone support, as well as a 2 hour go-home training session to teach you how to use the tools and techniques. The result is a dog that handles high levels of distraction while staying focused.
Once your dog has had training through Lead the Way K9 Training, he or she is eligible for our structured boarding and daycare program. Our caring training techniques are proven to work, and consistency helps maintain the hard work you've done with your dog. Whether you need daytime care while you take care of other obligations or boarding while you travel, our structured program maintains your dog's training in a safe, caring environment.
